It’s an honour to have been nominated by so many colleagues across the country to stand as a candidate for Vice President of the National Convention. Like other members of the National Convention, I am a conservative activist first and foremost. I have blended my business life with my work as a County Councillor, Cabinet member, and Leader of Suffolk County Council, alongside my work for the Conservative Party, as Chairman of two Associations, Norfolk and Suffolk Area and Eastern Regional Chairman along the way. I passionately believe in conservative values of hard work, helping those in need of a hand up, and, being from a Housebuilder background, in the principles of business as the bedrock of our economy. The reason I am standing for the National Convention is that I have a plan which I hope will resonate with colleagues across the country and make winning easier.
My approach is rooted in accountability and hard work. I use my experience to deliver practical solutions that make a real difference to Associations, activists and candidates in elections from Council to Parliamentary.
